a BIG -_-!!!!!

Wanted to post this earlier..but the day it happened the net died. That was yesterday XD.

Anyway, as most universities should have a Malaysian society I thought I would join. Being the patriot that I am. *cough* On Tuesday night, it was their annual LUMS(Leicester University Malaysian Society) meeting. And I didn't exactly expect that the committee of the society were stepping down and electing the new committee. Nevertheless, it was my first meeting anyway and no worries. Like anyone would vote for me right?? pft!!!

Well, votes started and the New Sports EXCO is none other than......my flatmate. Yupz. he nominated himself and I believe he can do it. Nice guy, though not too fit looking but since when Malaysians are? XD

Then came the post of treasurer. Two names went up and nominations were closing. That's when someone brilliantly smart decided : 'I nominate Daniel.' said a girl I just met named Azrin. She had no idea how that joke would later become a tragedy. I got elected -_-!!

Well, here's a rough background on LUMS(refer to above). Mainly medical students. HARDLY anyone from the department of economics or any other departments in fact. Small in numbers in comparison to say...Warwick University's Malaysian society and Manchester perhaps. But active in their own way and trying to improve things.

Well, in all honesty, I am honoured and at the same time wondering what on earth should I do?! Never dealt with club money in my life. THE BURDEN!!!!! THE POUNDS!!!!! But I guess I can take this as an opportunity to improve my CV and well, declare my beliefs. It will obviously be difficult but who knows.

Alrighty then, that's the big deal of me for the moment. Maybe I'll take this opportunity to ask : How is everyone back in Malaysia? Doing well? Holidays started for high schoolers right?? Any lovely juicy stories to tell??? Come on...there HAS to be. Hope all is well. And for those who know, it might have passed awhile ago, but tell Kheng(King) I said hi and hope he is well.
